Winter weather advisories issued for northern states
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for parts of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the entire state of Michigan. In northern Minnesota, mixed precipitation is expected, with forecasts predicting up to an inch of snow and a glaze of ice. Northern Wisconsin is projected to receive up to 4 inches of snow along with a glaze of ice. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is anticipating 2 to 4 inches of snow, accompanied by wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Additionally, light freezing rain is forecast along the border with Indiana, with a tenth of an inch of ice expected to form. These conditions may lead to icy roads and potential power outages, particularly in the morning hours.
