New York City sinking, infrastructure at risk
A new study has revealed that several neighborhoods in New York City are gradually sinking, posing significant long-term risks to infrastructure and coastal communities. The research, which analyzed data from 2016 to 2023, indicates that the average land subsidence is approximately 1.6 millimeters per year.
