Southern Plains residents may see Northern Lights
Tonight, residents of the Southern Plains may witness a spectacular display of the Northern Lights, as a powerful G3–G4 geomagnetic storm is expected to push auroral activity unusually far south. According to the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, the Aurora Borealis could be visible across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and southern Kansas.
