Unseasonal storms cause damage in Pakistan, India
Unseasonal storms have recently struck southern Pakistan and north-west India, causing significant damage and disruption. Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, experienced over 50mm of rainfall and wind gusts up to 60mph, leading to structural collapses, flooding, and power outages. Tragically, at least 18 fatalities were reported, along with several injuries. In India, Gujarat and Rajasthan also experienced these storms, though with less intensity. Rajkot recorded 38mm of rainfall, and despite the lower intensity, power outages and minor infrastructure damage were reported.
