A severe Arctic blast is currently impacting the Midwest and is forecasted to extend into the Northeast, bringing dangerously low temperatures and significant wind chills. On Monday, wind chills in Minneapolis plummeted to minus 30°F, with similar conditions reported in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Chicago, Illinois. The reach of the cold has stretched as far south as Florida, where North Florida experienced wind chills in the 20s°F and Central Florida hovered around 32°F.
