Busiest Thanksgiving travel in over 15 years
Thanksgiving travel is expected to be exceptionally busy this year, with nearly 18 million travelers passing through U.S. airports, according to the TSA and FAA. This marks the busiest Thanksgiving travel period in over 15 years. Several major airports are anticipated to experience the largest crowds. Hopper, a travel booking app, has identified the top contenders, including Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Denver International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, and LaGuardia Airport in New York.
