Highways reopening after widespread flooding in Washington
Washington State has made significant progress in reopening highways after recent widespread flooding. Over 50 state highways have been reopened to traffic, providing relief to many communities. However, several key routes remain closed due to the extent of the damage sustained. Among the significant closures are US 2 between Skykomish and Tumwater Canyon, and US 12 near Naches. State Route 20 near Winthrop is also affected, along with numerous local roads that experienced severe inundation.
