Extreme heat wave hits Southwest United States
The Southwest United States is currently experiencing a severe heat wave, with temperatures exceeding 100°F (37.7°C) in California and Arizona. This unusual heat has extended as far north as Nebraska, marking a significant departure from typical March weather conditions. The National Weather Service has issued extreme heat warnings for these areas, predicting temperatures in Tucson, Arizona, to reach 100°F (37.7°C) and the Yuma Desert to hit 105°F (40.5°C). Yuma recorded a record-breaking 112°F (44.4°C), the highest March temperature ever recorded in the U.S. Experts anticipate that April, May, and June will continue to be hotter than normal across the country.
