Wind Advisory and Extreme Cold Warning issued
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and an Extreme Cold Warning for parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Morris, Sussex, Warren, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties. The Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 AM to 9 PM EST on Saturday, with northwest winds expected to reach 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. The Extreme Cold Warning will follow from 3 PM Saturday to 10 AM Sunday, with wind chills potentially dropping as low as 21 below zero. These conditions pose significant risks, including frostbite on exposed skin within 30 minutes and potential power outages due to downed tree limbs.
