Hawaii’s Kilauea Sends 400-Foot Lava Bursts In New Eruption

Kilauea volcano erupted again, shooting lava fountains nearly 400 feet high.
The eruption is the 37th since December 2024, confined to Halemaʻumaʻu crater in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
Flights at Kona and Hilo airports remain unaffected despite the volcanic activity.
Kilauea erupts, lava fountains and ash plumes
Kilauea volcano in Hawaii erupted again on Tuesday, sending lava fountains nearly 400 feet into the air and producing ash plumes over the Big Island. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), this marks the 37th eruption of the volcano since December 2024, with all activity contained within the Halemaʻumaʻu crater inside Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
