Severe weather causes hazardous travel in Nebraska
Nebraska is currently grappling with severe weather, characterized by periodic whiteout conditions and extremely hazardous travel. The Nebraska Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 435 following a significant multi-vehicle collision, underscoring the dangerous conditions. Emergency responders have also been affected, with one emergency vehicle struck while attending to the crash. Authorities treated four patients at the scene, releasing two and admitting two in fair condition.
