Travel ban lifted, residents urged to stay home
Rhode Island has lifted its travel ban following a historic snowfall caused by a massive nor'easter. Governor Dan McKee announced the lifting of the ban, effective at noon on Tuesday, but urged residents to stay home to allow road crews to continue clearing the streets. The state experienced unprecedented snowfall, breaking records for the highest amount in a single day. T.F. Green Airport in Warwick reported a staggering 37.9 inches of snow, the highest in the region. Mutual aid crews from neighboring states are assisting local teams in the cleanup efforts.
