The Chicago Cubs are proactively adjusting their Cactus League schedule to address an anticipated heat wave in Arizona. With forecasts indicating temperatures will exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the team has rescheduled their split-squad games on March 20. The game at Sloan Park will now commence at 6:05 p.m., while the game against the Athletics at Hohokam Stadium is set to begin at 6:10 p.m. These changes are in direct response to predictions of extreme heat, with temperatures expected to reach 102°F (39°C) on Wednesday and peak at 107°F (42°C) on Friday and Saturday.
