Only select areas like Minneapolis, Marquette, Burlington, Seattle, and Billings are likely to have snow on Christmas morning.
White Christmas less likely for most this year
Despite an active start to December with early snow and storms, the chances of a white Christmas across much of the U.S. appear limited this year. Temperatures have recently rebounded into the 40s and 50s, but are expected to cool again by Friday. Historically snowy regions in the Northern Tier, including New England, may experience above-average warmth leading up to December 25, reducing the likelihood of snow.
