The National Weather Service reported that Martinez Lake, Arizona, reached a historic high of 110°F (43°C) on Thursday, marking the highest March temperature ever recorded in the United States. Southern California and the Desert Southwest are particularly impacted, with temperatures consistently reaching the upper 90s and exceeding 100°F (38°C). Cities like Palm Springs and Indio have reported new March temperature records, with temperatures reaching 107°F (42°C) and 108°F (42°C) respectively.
