Southern California faces unexpected heat wave in March
Southern California is grappling with an unexpected heat wave in mid-March, as temperatures surge into the 90s°F (32°C), significantly exceeding the typical averages for this time of year. The National Weather Service attributes this unusual warmth to a potent high-pressure system coupled with the absence of cooling winds from the Pacific Ocean. Meteorologist Bryan Lewis from the Los Angeles weather service office warns that numerous temperature records across Los Angeles County are at risk of being broken.
