Israel faces fourth day of air pollution
Israel is grappling with its fourth consecutive day of significant air pollution, compounded by record-breaking heat. Temperatures have surged far beyond typical seasonal averages, with some regions experiencing their highest temperatures in decades, according to Ynetnews. Kibbutz Gat, situated in the southern lowlands, recorded a scorching 32.9°C (91°F), marking the highest temperature in 16 years. The Environmental Protection Ministry has pinpointed southeasterly winds carrying dust from Jordan as the primary cause of the elevated pollution levels, leading to high to very high air pollution readings throughout the country.
