MBTA Commuter Rail trains canceled due to issues
Several MBTA Commuter Rail trains in Boston were canceled on Monday morning due to a combination of signal and catenary wire issues, as reported by WCVB. The affected lines include the Worcester Line, with Train 505 and Train 518 canceled, and the Needham Line, where Train 608 was canceled due to a downed catenary wire. Additionally, two Haverhill Line trains were canceled due to signal issues. The MBTA has advised commuters to take alternative trains where possible. The disruptions coincided with freezing rain that led to icy road conditions early in the morning, although temperatures are expected to rise to near 50°F (10°C) by the afternoon.
