The storm is projected to rapidly intensify on March 15th as it moves from the Plains towards the Great Lakes. Originating from a low-pressure system over Wyoming, the storm is expected to bring heavy snow north of its path. The National Weather Service anticipates significant snow accumulations, ranging from 1 to 3 feet, in the upper Midwest. Adding to the severity, wind gusts exceeding 50 mph could lead to blizzard conditions, severely limiting visibility and making travel extremely dangerous.
