The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) has issued a water shortage advisory for North Florida due to significant rainfall deficits. As of December 21, 2025, 14 out of 15 counties within the district have experienced an average rainfall deficit of approximately 11.5 inches, based on historical records dating back to 1932. The forecast for the next three months predicts below-normal precipitation, exacerbating the current drought conditions across all counties in the district. This advisory aims to raise awareness and encourage water conservation among residents and businesses to mitigate the impacts of the ongoing drought.
