New tropical disturbance in the central Atlantic
A new tropical disturbance has emerged in the central Atlantic Ocean, prompting close monitoring by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) for potential development. Located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles, the system is showing signs of gradual organization as it moves westward across warm waters conducive to tropical development. Atmospheric conditions, including low wind shear and favorable moisture levels, may support its intensification into a tropical depression or storm later this week. As of Thursday morning, the NHC had issued a Tropical Weather Outlook assigning a medium chance (40–60%) of development within the next seven days.
