Nine avalanche victims recovered in Sierra Nevada
Authorities have successfully recovered all nine victims of the recent avalanche in California's Sierra Nevada. Nevada County Sheriff Shannan Moon confirmed the completion of the operation, which was complicated by severe weather conditions and the ongoing risk of additional avalanches. The avalanche, approximately the size of a football field, claimed the lives of six experienced female skiers and three professional guides.
