The Southwest United States is grappling with record-breaking heat as spring commences, pushing temperatures to unprecedented levels. Arizona's Yuma Desert recorded a scorching 112°F (44°C), marking the highest March temperature in U.S. history. Southern California mirrored this heat, also reaching 112°F (44°C). The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted Tucson, Arizona, to hit 100°F (38°C), while southern Nevada anticipates temperatures 30 degrees above average. In the Midwest, Nebraska saw temperatures exceeding 90°F (32°C) before an expected sharp drop.
