Active season predicted, coastal regions at high risk
The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season is anticipated to be active, with AccuWeather forecasting 11 to 16 named storms, including four to seven hurricanes and two to four major hurricanes. Although the season officially begins on June 1, warmer waters in key development areas could lead to early tropical activity.
