Kissing Bug Disease, or Chagas disease, is now endemic in parts of the U.S., transmitted by kissing bugs carrying Trypanosoma cruzi.
Symptoms of Chagas disease may appear months later and can include fatigue and fever; chronic cases can lead to severe health issues.
Preventive measures include sealing homes, keeping pet areas clean, and using insecticides to reduce exposure, especially during warm-weather months.
