Tropical Storm Lorenzo has formed in the central tropical Atlantic, approximately 1,095 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. The storm currently has sustained winds near 45 mph and is moving northwest at a speed of 17 mph. At present, there are no coastal warnings in effect. However, gradual strengthening is anticipated by midweek as Lorenzo shifts its path northward.
