Michigan is preparing for a significant winter storm that will bring heavy lake-effect snow, high winds, and dangerously low wind chills throughout the state. The western third of the lower peninsula is expected to bear the brunt of the lake-effect snow, while areas east of Grand Rapids can expect intermittent snow showers.
