Imelda brings winds, rip currents to Florida
Tropical Storm Imelda is currently impacting Florida's east coast with gusty winds and dangerous rip currents. Moving north at 7 mph, the storm is located approximately 165 miles from Great Abaco Island. The National Hurricane Center forecasts Imelda to strengthen into a hurricane by Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend up to 175 miles from the storm's center, posing a significant threat to maritime and coastal areas.
