Taiwan prepares for Typhoon Fung-wong's landfall
Taiwan has initiated the evacuation of over 3,000 residents and issued a land warning as Typhoon Fung-wong approaches its shores. The impending storm is anticipated to bring torrential rains, particularly affecting the eastern mountainous regions of the island, which were recently impacted by a previous weather event. Typhoon Fung-wong, which has claimed 18 lives in the Philippines, is expected to make landfall near Kaohsiung on Wednesday.
