Wheelchair User to Make History on Blue Origin’s Upcoming Launch

Michi Benthaus will become the first wheelchair user to travel to space on Blue Origin’s NS-37 suborbital flight.
The flight will use Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket to reach above the Kármán Line, providing a 10–12 minute journey.

Blue Origin is set to make history with its upcoming NS-37 suborbital spaceflight, which will include Michi Benthaus, the first wheelchair user to travel to space. Benthaus, an accomplished aerospace engineer at the European Space Agency (ESA), has overcome significant challenges, including a spinal cord injury, to pursue her dream of space travel. She has also completed extensive astronaut training experiences, preparing her for this groundbreaking mission.
