Texas is bracing for a week of heavy rainfall as a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico makes its way towards the coast. The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring a tropical disturbance that has the potential to develop into a tropical depression before it reaches Texas. Even if the system doesn't fully develop, Texans can expect significant rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong, gusty winds. Coastal regions are particularly at risk for flash flooding.
