Lorenzo strengthens, winds reach 50 mph
Tropical Storm Lorenzo has slightly strengthened over the central Atlantic, with maximum sustained winds reaching 50 mph and higher gusts. As of Monday, the storm was located approximately 1,150 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands, moving northwest at 16 mph. Forecasters predict that Lorenzo will slow down and turn north on Tuesday.
