An ice volcano has emerged at Letchworth State Park in upstate New York, creating a breathtaking winter display. This annual event occurs when temperatures plummet, causing water from a gravity-fed fountain to freeze in mid-air, forming a cone of ice. The fountain, originally constructed in 1860, sits in a pond at the park's southern end, near the Glen Iris Inn.
