California Shaken By Large Earthquake Swarm Near Los Angeles

Minor earthquakes near Fillmore cause shaking
A series of minor earthquakes shook Southern California near Fillmore on Thursday, causing minor shaking in nearby areas, including West Hollywood. Twenty earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 1.1 to 3.3 were recorded, with six quakes between 2.5 and 3.3 occurring within a ten-minute span. The earthquake swarm took place approximately 50 miles from Los Angeles, near the Red Mountain–Mission Ridge Fault system.
