Rainfall has been uneven, with significant precipitation in Garden Route and Eastern Cape causing floods, while some areas remain dry; improved rainfall expected from February 21.
Cooler temperatures hit South Africa recently
South Africa has recently experienced a noticeable drop in temperatures, attributed to a series of weak cold fronts moving across the region. Minimum temperatures have dipped to around 10°C (50°F), bringing a chill to many areas. However, despite these cooler conditions, meteorologist Johan van den Berg indicates that the likelihood of early frost is minimal.
