Mount Mitchell State Park, North Carolina’s oldest state park, has officially reopened to the public on Monday, marking a significant milestone in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The park, which sustained considerable damage nearly a year ago, is located northeast of Asheville and is now welcoming visitors back to explore its scenic trails and natural beauty.
