Five-day workshop focuses on climate-smart agriculture
A five-day training workshop focused on climate-smart agriculture is currently taking place in Belmopan. The Participatory Integrated Climate Services for Agriculture (PICSA) workshop is designed to equip agricultural stakeholders with the knowledge and tools required to enhance farming practices in Belize. Participants include representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Sugar Industry Research and Development Institute, and the University of Belize. The initiative receives support from various organizations, including the Ministry of Disaster Risk Management and the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology, with funding provided by the World Bank-financed Climate Resilient Agriculture Project.
