A low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is set to bring widespread heavy rainfall across central India and the west coast, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The system, located off the coasts of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha, is expected to intensify into a depression within the next 24 hours.
