Flight diverted due to Guwahati's adverse weather
A flight carrying Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made an emergency landing at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala on Sunday because of adverse weather conditions in Guwahati. The A320 aircraft, identified as Flight IGO 187, was en route from Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh, Assam, to Guwahati when it was rerouted. An Airports Authority of India (AAI) official confirmed that the diversion was necessary because of severe weather, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
