Mumbai has experienced its wettest August in five years, with torrential rains battering the city and surrounding districts. Several areas recorded over 300 mm of rainfall in just 24 hours. The city has already surpassed its average August rainfall, receiving 791 mm in four days, nearly matching the total for July, which is typically Mumbai’s wettest month.
