Cyclone Montha to hit Andhra Pradesh coast
Cyclone Montha is rapidly intensifying over the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast near Kakinada, between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam, on the evening of October 28. The storm is projected to escalate into a severe cyclonic storm, packing wind speeds of 90–100 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 110 kmph.
