Northeast monsoon intensifies, flood risk flagged
Heavy rain has lashed Chennai and several districts of Tamil Nadu as the northeast monsoon intensifies across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in multiple districts and flagged a risk of flash floods in parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
