Tragedy struck Jammu as torrential rains led to the collapse of a bridge near Bhagwati Nagar, resulting in the loss of four lives. The Indian Army has joined rescue operations amidst widespread disruption caused by relentless rainfall. For three consecutive days, Jammu has been battered by heavy downpours, triggering landslides and flash floods across the region. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi yatra from Katra was suspended following a massive landslide near Adhkuwari, tragically claiming the lives of five pilgrims and injuring at least 14 others. Rescue efforts are currently underway.
