IMD: Wet Days in South India, Cold Winds Up North

• The southwest monsoon is withdrawing from several states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, and is expected to retreat from West Bengal and Odisha soon.
• Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas are experiencing a drop in temperatures, indicating an early onset of winter as the monsoon season comes to an end.

Rain activity is expected to intensify across parts of north, east, and central India over the next few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal are likely to experience heavy showers, thunderstorms, and lightning on October 11 and 12.
