IMD has issued rain and snowfall warnings for Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from January 5-
Cold wave alerts are in effect for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand, with significant temperature drops expected.
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are expected to experience rainfall and thunderstorms, with a gradual dip in night temperatures.
IMD warns of rain and snowfall
Cold conditions are intensifying across North India, posing challenges for residents as dense fog and severe cold become commonplace, particularly during night and early morning hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for rain and snowfall in several regions, along with cold wave alerts for others, indicating a continued period of challenging weather conditions.
