NDRF on high alert for heavy rainfall
A red alert has been issued across the Mumbai region, with NDRF teams on high alert due to warnings of extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has placed Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar under this alert, which is effective from Sunday through Monday morning. This escalation follows an earlier orange warning issued on Saturday.
