Monsoon withdrawal from multiple states imminent
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar is expected within the next 24 hours, signaling the near-complete transition to the post-monsoon season across India. The monsoon is also retreating from West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, and Telangana. Northeastern states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur will likely see the end of monsoon activity in the next two to three days.
