The storm is causing widespread power outages, with over 7,300 customers on Kauaʻi without electricity, primarily on the island's south side. Heavy rain and flash flooding are expected, particularly in windward and mountainous areas. Water levels in the Hanalei River remain elevated, posing a risk of flooding on Kūhiō Highway. High surf and strong winds, with gusts up to 70 mph in some areas, could lead to hazardous conditions along the coast and in mountainous regions. A brown water advisory has been issued, warning residents to avoid murky or discolored waters due to potential contamination.
